Uptown BOM+ Museum Quilts from Humble Quilts

It was a little dark when I finished this block last night. Uptown block 15.
Whoop! Whoop! I think we are closing in to the end!

Look at this adorable little dolly quilt that was at the New England Quilt Museum!

I like that it is a wee bit humble.

At first glance I'm never a fan of this style of quilt.....

But an upclose look changes my mind really fast!

I'll bid you adieu with this lovely couple!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Vintage Little Humble Quilt from Humble Quilts

I told my sweet friend, Laurie, that the only "payment" I wanted to advertise some of her lovely goods on the facebook group was to make sure I had a place to sleep the next time I made it to her house.
I'm sure she will still honor that, but she also sent me this adorable little quilt I shared on facebook during the show she was vending at.

It is the epitome of a humble quilt!

Ira Woods was an optometrist in the 40's and 50's and I would date this quilt about the same.

It ...

Design Wall Monday - September 27, 2021 from Small Quilts and Doll Quilts

Good Morning Quilters!  What did I work on this last week?  A doll quilt!  With Buttons.  Have you ever made a small quilt/doll quilt that has buttons on it? (Of course, this doll quilt cannot be used by little children, because the little buttons might come off and be swallowed), but it is fine for a doll quilt for a grownup like me.  Here is the story of this cute little quilt:My friend Joan

Little Humble Quilts All Through the House from Humble Quilts

It was 90 degrees on Sunday when I was preparing to put up some fall quilts.
So, I stuck with the little ones for now!
Thee is nothign specifically autumn about these, but they remind me of fall colors, so they get to take a turn at decorating the house.

Off the Beaton Path was made originally for a swap, but I worked on it while my dad was sick and I titled it as a reminder of the fun camping trips we took- Off the Beaton Path, so ended up keeping this and making another.  I very rarely every ...

DOLL QUILTS #3, #4, #5 from Q-BITS

My previous post shows doll quilts #1 and #2 and explains why I'm making these tiny objects.  I have now completed #3, #4, and #5, and am through with doll quilts for the time being.  I think five are enough for the purpose.  Besides these "not so nimble anymore fingers" are tired of sewing on 1/4" finished binding!

Cold Winter Day from Pinkadot Quilts

Winter and a pandemic can be a dangerous thing! I'm talking about shopping!!! I love this Alison Glass fabric.

It's such a good basic and I love the mini cross stitches.

I think this would be a good substitute for a solid that would give it some texture.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! Yes Maureen McCormick from the Brady Bunch has a line of fabric out and it definitely has a 1970's vibe. These are the only 3 I got but you never know......

This is one of my first finishes for the year. I am planning on making ...

Slow Sunday Stitching - Doll Quilt from Angel Scraps Quilting

Happy Slow Stitching Sunday!

Here is a doll quilt I am making as a Christmas Gift for my 4 year old granddaughter.  I think this quilt, a doll size pillow and a doll would make a sweet gift.

I've been hankering for a hand project to work on at night while watching TV with my hubby.  I could quilt this on my machine in just a few minutes, but I think that hand quilting stitches will give it an old fashioned quilt feel.

Taped down in preparation of pin basting.

Pinned.

Testing the marking pin.

Passed the test!

The ...
